Avian Wildlife first aid courses

masseyA comprehensive one day course on first aid for birds run by Massey University Wildlife Vets developed in consultation with DOC.

This course is very useful for anybody who works with, or may encounter birds during their work.

It provides the basic skills to safely deal with a sick or injured bird, to make a field assessment, and stabilise the bird for further treatment if required.

Learn basic techniques such as bandaging and crop feeding.

Date/Location:

  • Saturday 29 October 2011 – Wellington
  • Saturday 5 November 2011 – Auckland

Cost:
To be confirmed once the amount of interest is known (approximately $160).  Cost includes morning tea, lunch and a take-home proceedings.
