Careers in conservation

The sustainable development of the historic environment is a matter of national importance. You can make a difference in New Zealand to the conservation of historic heritage through the Resource Management Act and Historic Places Act.  Your everyday business will be working with colleagues and communities managing a wide range of heritage planning issues from historic places, buildings and archaeological sites to places of significance to iwi.  

You will have a broad range of opportunities including being involved in providing advice to owners, developers and local authorities.There will be some travel within the Auckland region, Thames Coromandel and Hauraki areas.
