Are you looking for a unique opportunity to lead a team of experienced Pest Animal Biosecurity Officers?
 
This is an exciting time to join our department as we continue to make progress on the implementation of our Regional Pest Management Strategy, and contribute to the implementation of new initiatives within biodiversity including the implementation of our Regional Biodiversity Strategy.
 
To be successful in this role you will have:
* 5-10 years of well rounded practical experience
* A relevant tertiary qualification, signifying competency and training in environmental primary production and pest management
* A thorough understanding of financial and administration systems
* Well honed communication and relationship management skills to work effectively with our stakeholders
* Strong management & leadership skills, with experience managing specialist staff, & contractors
* Experience with strategic planning & forward programming.
 
 
This role can be based from either our Masterton or Upper Hutt offices and will require working across the Greater Wellington region.
