The Pacific Invasives Initiative (PII) is the leading technical advisory and capacity development organisation for invasive species management in the Pacific region. PII’s mission is to strengthen the capacity of Pacific Island Countries and Territories to effectively manage invasive species threats. We are seeking an enthusiastic person, committed to helping conserve the fragile biodiversity of the Pacific, who enjoys working with people in different cultural contexts. This is a challenging but rewarding role in which you will provide technical support and capacity development on invasive species management to Pacific agencies.

You will bring to this role, demonstrated experience in project coordination and capacity development. You will demonstrate high service delivery skills and have a degree in conservation, invasive species management or development. Knowledge of conservation and socio-economic issues in the Pacific is desirable.

This is a fulltime, fixed-term agreement for approximately 12 months from the start date and no later than 30 April 2013. This position will be based at the University of Auckland’s Tamaki Campus in Glen Innes, Auckland.
